Breadth #11

I felt like I needed a nice figure drawing for the portfolio, so I took a drawing I had done at Spoleto Study Abroad a couple of years ago and worked back into it..mostly defining the space around the figure and such. I tried to keep the original marks of the figure to keep the sense of motion in it. I like the position of the figure and the emotion that suggests, but this piece is weaker than some of my others.

  1. I really like the reworking you did with this gesture drawing. The added space around the figure makes it look more realistic and adds value to the figure.

  2. ok first off i have to say how much i love your "in lamans terms" quote u have up at the top of the page hahaha

but i really liked this piece because it shows the loose-side of your art style, as in the non perfectionist side...i like the expressive lines and shapes that you used to really make the figure more interesting and appealing to the viewer, great job!
